Our Favorite Sightseeing Destinations
There are many places to see and smell around this lovely world, but these are our very favorites. Of the many places we've visited and taken in a deep invigorating breath, these are the ones that we feel you should add to your honey bucket list and not allow yourself to die until you've been to each and every one.
Washington, D.C.
First and foremost, our nation's capital. If you think the wealthy and powerful are not like the rest of us, here's your proof. But Washington is also home to a great many people in more impoverished circumstances, and people in the Marion Barry mold that have their own unique additives, making for a very interesting melange indeed.
King County, WA (Seattle/Tacoma)
When most people think of Seattle what comes to mind is coffee, grunge bands, and Microsoft. But there's much more to this Pacific Northwest city, and it all comes out in the end.
St. Paul, MN
We've never seen a place with such a high percentage of corn. You'll be shocked and amazed at what floats by, and more than a little jealous!
Deer Island (Boston, MA)
Clam chowder and baked beans might sound like a cliche, but they are only part of the charm of this thriving metropolis.
Sacramento, CA
Sacramento, California, right in the middle of west coast wine country. Expect a tour with the piquant aroma of muscat, a slight hint of fruitiness, and an aftertaste of cumin and cilantro, as befits the wonderful variety of Mexican foods popular in this area.
San Francisco, CA
What can we say? San Francisco has great chocolates, a significant amount of seafood, and west coast macrobiotic foods making up much of their diet. But it's the rampant drug culture and underground bath houses that really spice up the trout flotilla in this happening town.
Boise, ID
Cool crisp mountain air and lots of venison is what really sets this city apart from the others.
Boulder, CO
A college town, and one at a high altitude at that. Take the dry air of the high plains and the typical grease-based low-fiber diet of a large number of college students, and the result is effluvia like you've never seen before.
